The two hour class with Camilla Veen has been my go to class for the last month or so. She is inspiring, and soulful. Each time giving us a topic to contemplate. Today she focused on Sharon Gannon´s The Magic Ten and Beyond. The picture taken below, by Jivamukti Yoga Stavanger, is when Gannon had her workshop here in Stavanger, Septemebr 2018.
The first chapter in her book is about gratitude. I first came across this topic years ago, and I practiced it with writing down 10 things I was greatful for, which is kind of difficult if you are in a diffcult situation. But, with practice and determination it is after a while easy to write down 50-100 things in an instant.
Gannon says «Gratitude awakens humility, and humility leads to enlightenment.» She offers 5 ways to practice:
1) Thank God.
2) Chant a Sanskrit pledge; «Lokha Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu.» In english «May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.»
3) Ask your higher Self to be his or here instrument.
4) Thank your teachers, Guru is Sanskrit for teacher.
5) Chant a mantra to your guru.
